Attraction

Attraction

A Poem by @_av_poetry
"

What happens when two lives collide.

"

I had to make you mine,

I had no choice in the matter.

You healed my lonely heart,

And now you want it to shatter.

Your magnetism pulled me in,

Like the moon pulls the tide.

And your arms slowly  became

My favourite place to hide.

You're voice lulled me in,

I could not resist the attraction.

And from everything that hurt,

You offered distraction.

I had to become yours,

I did not make the decision.

And now I know what happens,

When two planets are in orbit of collision.

This is a lovely simple poem that lays your feelings out really well. I particularly like the lines 'And your arms slowly became, My favourite place to hide.' the uncomplicated wording seems almost naive but reinforces how simple these feelings can be. I really enjoyed reading this, thanks.

Thank you for visiting and taking the time to read. It is my poetic philosophy to try and hide deep .. read more
That magnetic pull can be so alluring and strong. When it's there you can't fight it. Sadly it doesn't always last though. I enjoyed our poem, it is well written. The second stanza is my favourite as that has some lovely imagery in it. All good wishes.
