Sonnet 1: Rain, Rain, Go away

Sonnet 1: Rain, Rain, Go away

A Poem by Blake P.
"

First Sonnet

"

Rain, Rain, Go Away,

You irritate the dying light,

And further my mind’s decay,

Into this existential blight.

Rain, Rain, Go Away,

It’s not your fault for my madness.

What was it that led me astray,

What drove me from the gladness?

Rain, Rain, Go Away,

In the sun life seems more complete.

Through my shades I peer at the light of day,

A lens drenched in deceit.

Believing the sun is good is innate,

But perhaps our cognitive faculties adulterate.
