I know many people who feel dark and empty, including myself.

What do you see in me
I am nothing good anymore.
My thoughts are broken.
Take a look inside,
Read my mind.
But you wouldn't dare.
I am nothing good anymore.
I am shattered.
I am torn.
My life has turned upside down.
You wouldn't believe a thing,
nothing inside my head.
Take a closer look,
is there anything to bare?
It's empty, so dark.
There is nothing left to me.
Nothing to grab,
Nothing to hold on to,

In order to go through life, we must all experience such feelings as those you've described. Just know that everyone is worth something and alive for one reason or another. It's not okay to keep these feelings inside, but we all need to find our own source of happiness. We can't depend on others in order to have it. Just gotta take the right steps to get there. Baby steps is all it really takes.
