These lines haven’t been observed in years
Yet there’s been tremendous tears
I thought I was done with this
But I’ve fallen back into the abyss
I don’t want to be dead
But seeing the red
Brings so much tranquility
So much stability
When I can control the pain
It keeps me sane
I know it’s bad
But it’s all I have

This reads and feels more contemporary than entering an old poems folder and bringing a past work back into the light - least to me. If that is true, catch a breath - that is what we as people and poets do.

The sentiments you express match what so many "try" - even if they don't succeed.

Quite honestly it’s fairly new, I am alright now, because I have let it out.
