A Lover's WarningA Poem by ZyriaShe was on the edge of insanity, with no way to escape. Then blood, power, pain; perfect and inseparable; on the edge of life-- then death; Glorious, yet unseen. No telling what lay beneath-- falling and falling faster and faster until only light separated them. She was beyond cold-- vanquished by the hate, blood dripping; no pouring-- Her hands slick, but the night had only begun. Screaming, crying, terrifying rage-- Yet his heart… slower and slower Less steady, then nothing. Her head down, and he was gone. Meticulous and malicious Out of thought, out of mind eyes open, cautiously aware sweet venom-- oh, so sweet the taste. Now slowly mending was she; Vengeance of a woman scorned. © 2010 ZyriaReviews
