One of the CrowdA Poem by ZyriaThere are those who live in a fantasy world,
but I live behind a mask.
Caught in a labyrinth of emotion
and seeing no way out.
There are those who wonder what's inside,
lying beneath the skin,
but I wonder what's behind the mask,
since being someone else for so long,
I can't remember the past.
There are those who try to be free,
but I try to keep closed my eyes.
Perhaps it is better to know,
but I, I would rather not see.
Taking life day by day,
there are those who prefer to live,
but I prefer to hide,
hide amongst the crowd.
They see me everyday,
bumping shoulders as they pass by,
but they don't know me;
they cannot see beyond the lie.
I am here, I really do exist,
somewhere deep inside,
somewhere there's a girl, torn,
with tears staining her eyes,
but there are those, including myself,
who would rather face the mask.
