True Love

True Love

A Poem by Zypy Kirubi

  And now I deem true,
Your guess as good as mine,
That which goes a long way,
Faint at first, growing stronger, greater w/ time.
That which washes away vague unpleasantness.
And slowly drowns fear or pretense.
                       That which smothers resentfulness,
And make past 'promised', 'duped' n 'deserted' memories obliterate.
That which has patience in finding cause, when ruined
And allows chance to put things right.
That which so much hangs on it,
                                  Is TRUE LOVE!
