One-Winged Angel

One-Winged Angel

A Poem by TogetherAgain
"

Just a little something I wrote...

"

Don't cry, my one-winged angel

Someday I know you'll fly

Have hope, my one-winged angel

And you'll fly high on your broken wings

You're my one-winged angel

Everyday I watch you try

You, my one-winged angel

Always trying hard to soar above

Keep trying, my one-winged angel

One day you'll be a dove

Fly high, little angel

Fly on your broken wings

You know that with your hope

And a little fairy dust,

Love will set you free

Don't cry, my one-winged angel

Someday I know you'll fly

Have hope, my one-winged angel

Let your tears float to the sky

And fly, fly, high

Fly high on your broken wings

Fly, my one-winged angel

Fly up,

Fly high,

Fly far far away

It is more of both, kind of a mixture. Just let me say, this was absolutely gorgeous! The poem itself gave me the impression of a mother and child. Allowing her only child or first born leave her arms to grow up. It was so lovely. And it is just ravishing! Favorite line, "Let your tears float to the sky, and fly, fly high. Fly on your broken wings." Oooh, gives me shivers. Really love this. Absolutely, seriously!

Sounds like a song to me... but without rhyme.

It could be either a poem or a song, but either way it's a lovely piece of art. It really provoked my pity for the poor angel

With the repeating phrase it feels more like a song. A lovely heartfelt song. :)
