Peace At Last

Peace At Last

A Poem by Zutaki
"

A poem dedicated to those who stood with me through hardships

"

A peace has finally resounded

echoing through my life

a temporary end to the strife

a quiet most confounding

a silence most gratifying

oh the peace it brings!

how great it feels to be!

a feeling I hadn't thought existed

makes me feel not quite so twisted

though who I was is gone now

having fallen over the bow

I am now someone new

like a mothers warming coo

I feel great in who I am

makes me want to shout "damn"

the disease is weaker

though 'tis always a seeker

for a way into my armored mind

make me once more of it's kind

though in reality never once have I left

stopped being it's pet

I simply grew stronger

strong enough to withstand this warmonger

yet even if I fall

which I will with all its gall

I have those who stand with me

Brooklynn, Alexis, Meagan and Ms. Kersnowski

I stand by your side friends

even as you do mine

unto me, you have been most kind

a debt of this sort

can never be repaid

but through this, my thanks are made.
