A Goodbye

A Goodbye

A Poem by Zutaki
"

A final goodbye to those I had known

"

My friends among you

I stand here now

To simply pay my due

If it's what you will allow

For all the joy I've had

With you all by my side

Without you I might've died

I wish this could continue

Truly I do

But fate has staged a coup

And I must leave without further ado

Yet you will be in my thoughts

Through the twists and turns

You are just what I sought

A balm to my burns

It's not something I'm going to forget

The memory will live on

You're the people I'm glad I met

I shall remember you when I'm gone

Now I must leave

Though I wish it wasn't so

The future must continue it's weave

and that weave must have me go
