End So Near

End So Near

A Poem by Zutaki
"

All in life will fade away. Looking back lets one find peace

"

Messages written

Laying beneath the page

A message that I'm smitten

Messages of rage

Lay in the past

Buried so deep

Yet the peace cannot last

And for this I weep

This inevitable loss

Waiting just ahead

Deep in the moss

I want to just lie in bed

Avoid the change

Rest my head

Leave the future out of range

But in that I'm good as dead

There is no life

Without change in place

A life without strife

Is as runners with no race

Yes as it is will end

It will not last forever

It will force me to bend

But through everything I will endevor

Until that time

I will enjoy life to the fullest

Enjoy my time with her

As if those without her are the dullest

And ignore the cur

So yes this peace will end

And when it does, I'll be ready
