The Last Train

The Last Train

A Poem by Zulfa1994

Dragging her tired feet
Trying to make it on time
Her body felt the heat
Of that strangers sight
She knew passing the last lane
Could be a bane
But yes!! She wanted to catch the last train

Rushing to the subway
Sunk in the feeling of prey
But not a word to say
Stepped on a piece of glass
Whimpered in pain
But yes!! She wanted to catch the last train

She felt him before she saw him
The nausea hit her to the brim
Cold hand touched her shoulder
In a moment, she grew years older
Turning, ducking she tried to run
But yes!! She wanted to catch the last train

His eyes full of evil mirth
Her screams swinging with his Laughter
In a moment the air turned colder
Life went blur
No breath No suspire
With silence hung in the air
He passed like he didnt care
Staring in void, she laid in pain
Her efforts in vain
After all!! She couldn't catch the last train
