![]() November, Take Your Umbrella !A Poem by Loubna Khriss Zoumrouda![]() A Tanka Poem. Description of november and nature in Autumn season during a walking day in drought .![]() In drought one discovers good
springs; in distress, good friends." Chinese proverb
“November’s
sky is chill and drear, November’s leaf is red and sear." Sir Walter Scott In Heaven,
the bird flies away, Above the
heavy clouds. A plane
flies overloaded. We see only
its lights. Like the
eyes of a travelling alien From elsewhere, from another world. Lightning,
struck by the wrath of God. No rain, to
appease his anger. November is
already here, The drought
threatens our peace of mind. Farmers are worried, prices are soaring. Nature is
red, golden and ochre. Autumn is leaving, the leaves are falling. Winter will
come with the first snow. A hope, a
relief, people return to their prayers. Has God
listened to them? This is the
magic of incantations! The faith
of the cherubs at work! Shadows
dotting the sky Black, red,
ochre and gold. These
migrants are travelling, where are they going? Are they
looking for a new world? A warm
shelter, towards a dense forest. What is
this calm before the storm? Will we too
be threatened by the extinction of our species? We too will
migrate to Distant
horizons. Seeking
shelter, another land. Greener and more welcoming. Time is
running out, uniting our efforts. Under our
umbrellas, we will take shelter. Loubna Khriss © 2023 Loubna Khriss Zoumrouda |
