I can remember the day like it was only yesterday. It was the first day of school and we were getting ready for our first day as high-schoolers. I wasn't any type of girlyness so, I just wore a graphic tee, a pair of jeans and Converse. Scarlett on the other hand, was the total opposite of me so she wore a cute sun dress, a pair of hoops and gigantic wedges. Even with the wedges, she was still a tad shorter than me. I giggled at that fact. Jules and Alice were like in the middle except Jules was more to my side and Alice was more to Scar's side. Alice wore one of those pink dresses that are super short, she paired them with three quarter jeans and pink flats. Jules on the other hand, wore a denim overall skirt, paired with wild purple tights, a "Little Miss Trouble" shirt and a pair of black flats with a flower on it.

I sat on my bed, looking at the others getting ready, putting on their makeup, doing their hair. I sat there staring at them while applying my apple lip balm on to my lips. I never got why are they so vain to their looks. I sighed and looked at Jules doing her hair. I gasped in shock. Did I just see Jules eyes turn white? No it wasn't contacts. She would never wear contacts. I shut my eyes tightly and shook my head. The next time I looked at her, her eyes were back to the same old brown. I sighed in relief and smiled. 'If Jules herself didn't realize her sudden eye color change, than I must be hallucinating' I thought slapping my forehead. I stood up and grabbed my pullover from my bed frame. "Girls! C'mon! You're gonna be late for your first day of high school if you don't come down RIGHT NOW!" I sighed as I grabbed my sling bag from the side of my bag and I unplugged my iPhone from it's charger's cord. "Guys, before Mom Kelly yells an octave louder, I think we'd better get down and I don't wanna be late for being freshmens!" I said putting the charger in the bag as I went down the stairs. Kelly had already prepared us our lunch and toast for breakfast. I grabbed the one smeared in butter and sugar. I took a bite, swallowed it and kissed Mom Kelly's forehead. "Thanks Mom!" I said as I took another bite.

Kelly ruffled my hair and she walked out the door. "I'm warming up the engine, Kay?" she said as she closed the door. "KAY" I managed to yell with a mouth full of toast. Jules and Alice came down a few minutes after that, and grabbing their separate toast. Jules getting the Nutella one and Alice getting the P,B&J one. After finishing our toast, we went outside. "SHOTGUN!" I yelled immediately after all of us looked at Kelly's BMW 5 series Sedan. Jules and Alice groaned and said, "But you always get shotgun, Kenz!" I laughed and touched Alice's nose. "Too bad! You're just to slow then!" I said running to the car. The two of them followed from behind and jumped into the front passenger seat. "Now where is Scarlett?" all three of us shook our heads and raised our shoulders. Kelly sighed. "That girl, I tell you-" she was cut by a door banging hard. "Sorry! Sorry! Sorry" Scar said, the gate's keys in her left hand, her green apple juice in the other. Scarlett fumbled with the keys before she could find the right one. She locked the gates and jumped into the car as Kelly sped away. I giggled as Scarlett took a sip of her apple juice.

After 5 minutes of speeding, we arrived just on time. Morrison High was a big high school. "Wow" I said astonished at the size of the school. Kelly said something before she drove off but none of us paid attention. We were staring at the the statue of Dr. Morrison. "Creepy" Jules said before we started walking to the school hall. OH. We just didn't know what was in store for us there...!
