RelinquishA Poem by Zorrin86Is life so fragile That you would avoid touching hammers And scoff as the mad Run around with scissors? Poised in your brushed sleigh Before your god king, The illusion of safety strangled You with a diamond encrusted hand,
But I remember when things were different When you jumped through fire to spite candles, As you sacked cities and ransomed them off To pay for your lavishly expensive habits, Even the Nobles were sold into slavery To work the coal mines in unheard of conditions, Where life was cheap and light even more expensive Than mountains of gold and savory summer wine
