This is my first sonnet.

I think that I can analogize you with a

Beautiful rainbow with color and grace

Not just after the rain but all of the day

With color and beauty all on your face

Rainbows are quick and fade away quickly

But you live your life longer with purpose

Your beauty won't fade, not if you’re sickly

Stop looking band and build up some courage

Destroying your natural beautiful things

Yet when alone your entire body glows

Without the cover up it itself sings

And if you let go I promise it’ll show

So just stop destroying your body

Unintentionally seeming gaudy
