If you can't tell, I wish I wasn't single..

I'd walk around the world to see you

Climb the tallest mountains

Or sail the bluest seas

 

I'd pick the flowers filled with dew

from the vast green plains

Full of cherry trees

 

The blossoms would be pink and bright

Just like my love for you

Our eyes would spakrle in the night

Just like the rising moon

 

But sadly you're not living

And still you are not dead

Because you were never real

You only exist in my head

 

With all the happy couples around me

I wish that you were here

I know that I'd sleep more soundly

If someone held me dear

This is a fantastic write. I love how you pulled a fast one on us... we were thinking it was about someone in your life ... then, Bam! You give us this gem of a stanza:

check out "Don't Leave!" that I wrote if you get a chance. I pull something like that in that one.

I love how you mislead the reader and then pull the U turn. Very few writers try that. You did it, and did it well!
