Her World: DestroyedA Poem by Alexa TaschWhen the most important parts of the world fall awayShe’s standing on
the world’s wide edge Grey remains
crumbling down Half the world’s
been ripped away Leaving not a
sound The daring girl
is standing there Staring into
black With half her
world gone away She wonders if it’s
worth going back The rest of all
the world is grey The color bled
like Earth’s blood And every
survivor’s tears Could far
outshine Noah’s flood She has no home
to go to No family or
friends to care So she’ll stand
on the edge here forever And into the
darkness she’ll stare © 2012 Alexa TaschAuthor's Note
