What If?

What if we all had a choice?

If I lived in the forest

I’d be forced to hunt for food

If I had a gun I would have to kill

Because if I didn’t shoot, I wouldn’t need a gun

If I had gills I would need to live underwater

If I had a million dollars

I wouldn’t have to spend it all on clothes

I could give it all away

If I had super powers

I could use them for evil

Or for good

If I could run really fast

I could join the Olympics or stay at home

If I could be anything I wanted

What would I become?

 

We don’t always have a choice

But sometimes we do

And it’s up to us

To make the right decision

If we lived in the forest we would be on the food chain again, for the bigger animals, but we are not because we can think ahead, plan ahead, or just choose not to engage at all , this is still a choice. Nicely done! Thank you for your review of my poem.
