Motherland

Motherland

A Poem by Zolly
"

a declaration of someone who doesn’t fit into any mold and refuses to conform to the world’s expectations yet still longs for something beyond isolation.

"

There was a crevice in my heart

Wishing above the clouds to be apart of the sky and fly above

Looking down below of a storm, the crowds, and the sounds reverberating an alarm

Wishing I could fly away from them all

I sadly can’t be apart of the sky as I am apart of the ground

I am the creation but not the creator

Where can I be without having to go through but to hold onto

I am not outer space but I seem to not have anyone in my space

I push them away

Wanting someone to stay

But it'll be to late for me

To open my gates

Nowhere is for me

Somewhere isn't waiting for me

There’s no land where I’m supposed to be

I'll be the hider and the seeker

On my own land
