Stick it Out

Stick it Out

A Poem by Zoey Balderston

I hate the way I can’t forget you,
I really wish I could,
I hate that I still want you,
I always knew I would.

You used me,
Made me feel like dirt, like poo,
You lied to me,
I’m nothing but a skirt to you.

Logic says I should forget you,
My heart just won’t let go,
Your words always make me melt,
Like fire to the snow.

I’m wrapped around your finger,
So it seems I’m stuck,
Even though I hurt,
I’ll brave through all the muck.
