Chapter 1 of Banished for Love

Tonight I gazed into the sky

And saw an Angel fall from on high

The shattered wings, a heart destroyed

Broken, tumbling through the void

 

Locked within, imprisoned by fears

Piece by piece, sense of self disappears

Night terror screams pierce the night

Cloud her heart with an inky blight

 

How could they expect her not to feel

When love and pain are both so real

Human emotions long repressed

Inevitably strive to manifest

 

A wounded soul, a hollow touch

She loved him and they lost so much

Haunted by their shared torment

Wounded pride with soon resent

Where once he saw wonder and bliss

Stare vacant eyes, a black abyss

A future stolen, like wind on a feather

I wanted to be with you forever
