Sink

Sink

A Poem by Zoey

The ocean grows and it moans with each new leaf.

the tidal waves are ever more.

the to and fro

it brings me home.

but I always think--

what lies beneath

what sinks into

the world below our feet

what keeps breathing

as we take our last breath

what stays alive

as we freeze inside

what thinks and feels

what we can't believe.

Thought provoking work and it is a 'made my day' kind of poem....I love how you use natural elements in your work to leave an effect in the reader's mind....Another spectacular work.....Full ratings.....

I had to read this twice. It's a good description of one's intuition and instinct. It read easily and smoothly. It's the feel-good type of poem. I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.

I like the questioning in this poem. It was really nice to read. Made me think it could be symbolic for so many things.
