As It Consumed MeA Poem by ZoeyA motion of poems about the power and destruction of love.Part I seamlessly raining on me the salt of the sea discrete to the tongue it will arrest me free, do you flee to the depths you will find me there filled with all that I see the longest of locks flow thru your fingertips, and a tail so green and blue it is hardly seen a beauty is the scene ever-breathing lungs of the sea in its being Porcelain are the things at my feet rock and teeth and wrecked pirate ships another sweet morning in the deep Part II nothing seemed more beautiful than that clear green water luminous as I sank in and as it filled every hole inside of me never has something so close to death come to make me feel so alive that was the day I realized all other days meant nothing. I've seen land, but I keep going I keep on rowing I’m not going back, not for a moment I have a new family of starry night skies Part III all I see is a spiral when I close my eyes all I feel is waves my pattern, my progress transforming my visual, spiritual, auditory hallucinations is my life. all I know in a trance, my mind wanders every place but here Part IV helpless. I am adrift tied upon a sinking ship a menace is the sea what’s roped to me once set me free will I refuse to move, or simply try have I given in to what seems my only friend nothing should make more sense and so i went to the depths of the sea as it carried me never will I see this light again © 2016 Zoey |
