Fragments, Shards

Fragments, Shards

A Poem by Perfect Mistake

Thats what i am now

Incomplete

They keep asking for

truths.

Im afraid to give them

answers.

I keep hiding behind

dreams.

Except maybe they're

realities.

They keep asking for

reasons.

I give them lame

excuses.

I want to live in my

fantasies.

Expect maybe they're

nightmares.

They keep asking for

explantions.

I keep telling them

I dont have them.

This is stunning. It makes me think of someone who has mental illness and is quite happy living in their delusional world. It is a place of comfort and easier to manage than real life and when others want an explanation as to why you would want to live that way there is no answer that they will understand. This is what I saw reading this piece.
