Perfect but dying inside.

Perfect but dying inside.

A Poem by Perfect Mistake

So powder your nose,
make your makeup perfect,
smile in the mirror,
and don't let anyone see you are breaking down to nothing.

When eating, sleeping, and caring just become irrelevant,
you want to just be alone.

So make you sure no one sees you cry,
see you close your eyes wishing you weren't here,
Or see how tightly wrapped your fingers are around that trigger at night.

depression is far more severs than some people realize, so much that depression isn't a fitting enough word. how about, divine discontent?

Societal pressures are thick. They want women to look like magazine covers, and men to own those magazines.

Hard to truly know someone. The poem told the truth for many. Many people have smile and face their world. Then can hide sadness and depression. This is why we need to listen and pay attention. A strong ending to a amazing poem.
