She thought she could trust him because he was familyA Poem by Zoeandree12You can't trust anybody not even your own blood
In the shadowed depths of sorrow's veil,
Lies a tale of a teenage girl's travail. In innocence she danced, untouched by sin, Until her world crumbled from deep within. Within her family, a bond once strong, Lurked a predator, oh so terribly wrong. An uncle, trusted, blood running the same, He cast a wicked shadow upon her name. Silent whispers, secrets woven tight, She fought to escape the darkness of her plight. Betrayed by kin, her sanctuary lost, Her spirit strained beneath the heavy cost. Her dreams shattered, like fragments of glass, Yet strength flickered within, a fading flash. The girl, once vibrant, felt her light dim, But a fire within still burned, fierce and grim. She rose from ashes, a phoenix reborn, Determined to heal, her resilience sworn. Brave and tenacious, she sought her own truth, Setting her sights on a future, uncouth. With every step forward, she reclaimed her worth, Her scars a testament to her unearthed strength. She refused to bear the weight of her pain, And sought solace through love's gentle refrain. She found her voice, a resounding plea, A voice for survivors, those lost at sea. No longer a victim, she stood as a shield, For others trapped in silence, unwilling to yield. A teenage girl, her spirit unbowed, Rose above the turmoil which once held her bound. Though shadows haunt her, their grip she denies, Empowering others as she bravely tries. Let this poem stand as a tribute to her, A symbol of strength, resilience, and honor. May her journey inspire, her story empower, Guiding others toward hope, courage, and flowers. © 2023 Zoeandree12 |
