Baby Girl Baby Girl

Baby Girl Baby Girl

A Poem by Everyday Is Just Another Tomorow
"

about leaving the cheater

"
They always say
Baby baby, please dont leave me
Baby, baby, you gotta have faith in me
My baby girl, my baby girl, I love you so
Baby girl, baby girl, dont let me go
You know baby I aint that kinda guy
Baby come on, just this once let it fly
Baby I swears it didnt mean nothing
My baby girl, I was just foolin

I say
This time I dont believe you
This time I dont have faith in you
This time I dont love you so
This time Ill gladly let you go
You are that kinda guy
And hell no I aint gonna let it fly
This time I know it meant a lot
This time I dont care if it was just foolin

There aint gonna be no next time

It does seem to happen to a lot of people. So far I am lucky enough that it has not happened to me yet. Hopefully never will. You had put some feelings into this. I appreciate the work that you put into your writing.

I definately agree.

After a while,
All the stuff guys tell me
Sounds like reruns.

Like, I've heard it all before,
It's just talk.

Chicks are much better, though.

Maybe it's just humans?

Eh. Good write.
Thank you for sharing.

Tell 'im, Girl.
What a way to make a stand. Emotionally intense, this exchange highlights not only the different levels of commitment but the different levels of maturity between They Say and I Say.
What They can never seem to tell you is: if They were "only foolin" then--Why does it hurt so bad???
Structurally the first stanza had a better rhythm/flow than the second. This could also reflect the so-called "smoothness" of They Said vs the turbulent, often choppy emotions provoked in I Say. Even if it wasn't done on purpose it worked beautifully. Great job.

Love the rhythm of the poem. It has such a rhythm that it's much like a song. --mishy

wish it were easier to stand up and say this. but it's empowering to have it in words, like you have it here.

now if only i could implement it in the real world, lol

great job

Very strongly and powefully expressed! I liked the humor, truth, and an abundance of emotion displayed in this poem. It's quite true that some guys would do anything just to take advantage of someone, using those same lines you wrote in your first stanza. Plus, it's quite good that you don't fall for those sad lies and remain strong, which is displayed quite effectively throughout this poem.

Nice job. Thanks for sharing.

I liked this. People will always try to take advantage of someone if they can. It is great to see you stand up for yourself. Makes me proud and pleased to see you be a strong woman.

Well Done!!!!!!
