Amidst A Winter's NightA Poem by Zoe RichardsonFear not, for behold! I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.Long before the earth awakes Heaven paused, it silence breaks A long awaited promise filled While all the earth is hushed and
still Joyfully the gift is given A bridge between the earth and
heaven Salvation asleep on a bed of hay A star appears to light the way Shepherds hear the story told Wise men offer gifts of gold Tiny heart and tiny hands Have brought the love of God to
man Heavenly hosts sing glory and
praise Brighter than the sun’s own rays No eye has seen nor tongue can
tell How God is pleased with man to
dwell Alone amidst the winter’s night An angel pauses in its flight Looks down on earth and says
again, “Peace on earth, good will to
men.” -Zoe Richardson © 2021 Zoe RichardsonAuthor's Note
