Hi Zoe, your poetry always manages to touch the heart deeply and emotions come forth so easily. You have the skill of making poetry seem easy, although we know it isn't. You sing with such poetic grace you make the heart of the reader sing, emotions fly. Have a wonderful Wednesday. Hugs always....Mike.

To me, it is easy because I've always written poetry. I think it is our nature, as poets, to make it harder to write something than it really is because we worry so much about what we say and how we say it. And then we worry if it's any good. I am glad you think this one is.

dear Zoe... your poetry touches my senses
in a way the sunrise and sunset pleases my pleasure.
You have a gift of feelings brushed in poetic overtures.
gently, Pat
A wonderful poem shared dear Zoe.
"She sings what everyone can hear
In the hopes that one will understand."
I understand the above lines. We need to listen. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

"Eve" is presented as a complex character, full of contradictions. She could be fun, but also dangerous. It seems that she hasn't decided who she wants to be, so she's trying on different attitudes, personalities, and roles. She's a bit like a new age hippie...or a teenager...or a middle aged woman in some sort of crisis, maybe even on the verge of a breakdown. The more I think about her, or try to visualize her, the more it seems she is far from being joyful, but rather she's desperate for some certainty about herself and her place in the world.

A woman is a creature of shifting mystery. Try as you must, you will not figure her out. That can be a bane, or a blessing. Only you can decide which.
It's official, I'm a fan of your poetry! I would that there were more poets of your caliber on the site. My only regret is having overlooked so much of your work. I shall endeavor to remedy that! This was delicious with description!

I am so glad you get this, and appreciate it. That is what makes being a poet most rewarding.
