"Runner"

"Runner"

A Poem by Zoe Anne

“Runner”

I just want to run,

Run away and into the red sun.

I want to escape,

Escape into the scenic landscape.

I want to disappear into the night,

And forget about my awful plight.

I will become a runner,

Instead of a gunner.

I won’t be on a deathbed,

I’ll be laying down in the woods dead.
