"Summer Tears"

"Summer Tears"

A Poem by Zoe Anne

"Summer Tears"

You know what's funny,

My little honey?

I had one summer to think about you,

Now I have a second to start forgettting about you.

I loved you.

I hated you.

I tried to forget about you,

Now I just don't know what to do.

Sometimes I wish everything didn't happen at all,

I would greet you at the start of Fall,

And then we could say good-bye as sweethearts,

Before the summer of tears start.

Sometimes I feel like I've made too many mistakes,

Mistakes that made our world shake.

Sometimes I wish I wasn't here to start with,

So we wouldn't have to write another love myth.
