"Electric Eyes"

"Electric Eyes"

A Poem by Zoe Anne

"Electric Eyes"

In my electric eyes,
Love dies,
It's shocked,
And leaves my heart locked.

I can't help but just sit there,
And stare,
Like I'm in a daze,
I hope it's just a phase.

Where is my soul?
I don't want to pay another toll.
Where is logic,
When you try to prove that it's not magic?

In my electric eyes,
Hate burns any dove that flies.
They're on fire,
Because love is such a liar.

I can't help but just sit there,
It doesn't mean that I don't care.
Please make it stop,
My electric eyes are about to... POP!

Why? Why? WHY?!
If I cannot see I think I might die...
Sure I witnessed a lot of horrors,
But my vision needs to see the light of future tomorrows.

I like to write a lot of horror, poetry, and lyrics. My inspirations are Edgar Allan Poe, Anne Rice, H.P. Lovecraft, and Stephen King. I hope that someday my name will be next to theirs... more..
