"Retro-Pop Rhapsody"

"Retro-Pop Rhapsody"

A Poem by Zoe Anne

"Retro-Pop Rhapsody"

My heart is bleeding with tears.
I'm counting all of my fears.
Let's go on the dancefloor,
One, two, three, four!
Let's forget about everyone else,
C'mon, before my brain melts!
I just wanna go away and escape,
I don't want to remain as one plastic shape.
I just wanna float on cotton candy clouds,
And get away from the angrily greedy crowds.
Let's hang off the edge of skyscrapers,
And remain above all the fakers.
Let's swim down below the sea,
And escape so they won't get you and me...
Let's stay that way,
I don't care what they say.
"You and I",
Without that, I think I might end up in a coffin and die...

About
I like to write a lot of horror, poetry, and lyrics. My inspirations are Edgar Allan Poe, Anne Rice, H.P. Lovecraft, and Stephen King. I hope that someday my name will be next to theirs... more..
