"Beautiful Monster"

"Beautiful Monster"

A Poem by Zoe Anne

"Beautiful Monster"

Its skin is basked in glamour,
Its lips have a cherry flavor.
Its teeth are synthetic,
Its brain is mathematic.
Its heart beats with a flicker,
Its eyes are gleaming with glitter.
Its hair is covered in dye,
It loves to consume pi,
For it is always calculably in sync,
When the strobe lights turn to: purple, black, and pink.
It worships nothing but what it sees, hears, and feels,
Especially when that something is in high heels.
You ask: "What is this thing?"
I say: "Well, you see it everyday, it just doesn't sing."
You ask: "Well what is it?"
I say: "You mean who is it?"
You demand: "Well, who?"
I say: "It's me, you fool!"
Ha ha!
Ha ha!

Great write, nice to know you are a beautiful monster. Personally, I am the usual type that hides in the shadows, in wait for the gleem in your eyes.

Regards,

Matthew
