"Just Friends"A Poem by Zoe Anne"Just Friends"
You're just sitting over there, Why don't you come over here? Don't just say "Hey", And then walk away. Why don't we talk? C'mon don't just fill your mouth up with chalk. I want to have a conversation, Not just a standing ovation. Why do you have to be so shy? Come over and say "Hi", And then say something worth my while, Not just a bunch of bile. I don't want to listen to them, And have to interrupt with "Ahem". I don't want to hear what they have to say; They're not as important as to what you have to say. Just ignore them please, It seems as though we'll be at ease, Without them bothering us, And forcing us to make a fuss. We don't need them, And interrupt with "Ahem". We can be alone together, Just as friends, forever. Written by Zoe Anne © 2011 Zoe Anne |
