"Heartstrings Detached"

"Heartstrings Detached"

A Poem by Zoe Anne

"Heartstrings Detached"

Love isn't the word;
It's something I can't afford.
Pop pop. Pop pop.
S
orry, I can't make it stop.
I can't help it.
It's got to happen so don't have a fit.
The heartstrings are just coming off.
There's so many that I'm starting to cough.
C'mon now,
Don't tell me to stop 'cause I don't know how.
Let them detach,
So we can't ever re-attach.

I like to write a lot of horror, poetry, and lyrics. My inspirations are Edgar Allan Poe, Anne Rice, H.P. Lovecraft, and Stephen King. I hope that someday my name will be next to theirs... more..
