"Greedy Grave"

"Greedy Grave"

A Poem by Zoe Anne

"Greedy Grave"

O greedy, greedy grave!
What is it that you crave?
Is it the blood?
Be careful that you don't drown in a flood!
Is it the souls?
I hope they don't have to pay a toll!
Is it the bones?
The ones that don't rest in peace will moan.
Are you so envious,
That you must condemn us?
As my legs crumble,
I unwillingly stumble.
I just sit there,
In front of the tombstone and stare.
Teardrops dissolve into the deathly earth,
And my eyes burn into ashes on top of the hellish hearth.

I like to write a lot of horror, poetry, and lyrics. My inspirations are Edgar Allan Poe, Anne Rice, H.P. Lovecraft, and Stephen King. I hope that someday my name will be next to theirs... more..
