"The Wall"

"The Wall"

A Poem by Zoe Anne

"The Wall"

The wall is my best friend;
It's here to defend.
It always stood by me through the hard days.
It listens to every word I say.
It may be cold,
And on some days it's covered with mold.
But I don't care,
At least it's there.
Now it's demolished,
My salvation is finished.
So I stand here alone,
With nothing but a stone.

We do need them walls. I was a Soldier for 15 years. Spending months in the woods or desert leave you wishing for four strong walls. A very good poem. I like the ending. Thank you.
