"Love Bird"

"Love Bird"

A Poem by Zoe Anne

"Love Bird"

I am in love,
For I am your turtle dove.
My stomach is filled with butterflies,
Waiting to burst out into the blue skies.

I feel as though as if I could fly,
And wave to you as I go by.
But then a gun has shot me down,
Down to the very ground where I always frown.

I am lucky to find others, not with arms of hate,
But with arms of love when I enter the gate.
You and the others aid me with the power of healing;
That's what keeps me flying.
