"8th of February"

"8th of February"

A Poem by Zoe Anne

"8th of February"

It's been a little over a year already,

Since the last time I've written anything worth while.

You've kept my heart ever so steady,

Throughout this everlasting mile,

That we've walked together.

Now we're here again,

In this isolating,wintery weather,

And here we remain;

Hand in hand,

Heart to heart.

Wherever we may stand,

We will never really be apart.

I hope that this shall last forever,

Or for how ever long we may live,

Whatever we may endeavor,

And that there'll be enough love to give.

I'm not fretting as it seems we have hit a gold mine,

Flourishing in color and passion,

As rich as the finest red wine,

And happier than I could have ever imagined.

I could never ask for anything more from you,

I'm happy as long as you love me too.

I like to write a lot of horror, poetry, and lyrics. My inspirations are Edgar Allan Poe, Anne Rice, H.P. Lovecraft, and Stephen King. I hope that someday my name will be next to theirs... more..
