Out of Interest

Out of Interest

A Poem by Jessica Lewis

what is a wall

if it is not surrounding

inside no light shines

only ties and allusions

never truly understood

ask the ignorant

only for contentment

console the lonely

in proud waves of interest

brought forth to the gate

for what we desire

never truly is

a wall, if not surrounding, is a blank canvas for one's creativity, just like a blank piece of paper.

well written. Made me think -- well done.

it pains the body to reach and not grab -- enjoying your pen tonight my poet -- what hurts worst is to settle
