I Hate Going There

I Hate Going There

A Poem by Jessica Lewis

You Dont know what you miss

until you see it again

feel it again

breathe it again

Childhood memories

where everything was new

the world at my fingertips

with no clue

i have seen now

i have walked, listened

and talked

and as far as

I was concerned

This world sucks

there is no going back

no recapture of emotions

no change or gain

no winning

no losing

just floating

floating by

I felt this way going back to my hometown a couple years ago. I like this, and I can relate to it really well :)
Thats the sign of a good poet. Great job.
