Out of the Closet

Out of the Closet

A Poem by Jessica Lewis

I've always wondered why

he never looks at me the same

thanks to you

not a shadow of doubt in his mind

that what you said is true

i understand your anger

hatred even

the one monumental lie

however is different

could you have said that

in my presence

if you could only look

at the raw emotion

of your actions

you could never be

i will leave you to you

and me to me

for what you have done

will forever be

Jessica Mai always seems to take the words right out from under my fingers. All the same, I quite enjoyed it. I'm such a fan of your work :)
The circumstances in which you wrote this poem, however, is kind of upsetting to me, if I do understand correctly. Nonetheless, I liked this.

Wow, this poem really captures the situation and your feelings. I like the occasional rhyme in this poem - it seems to add another layer to the poem. Great write!
