Face of Illusion

Face of Illusion

A Poem by Zizi Abok

Perhaps I've met you, perhaps I've not
I think I know you
I feel I don't
Delirium cajoles me

I presume you are beyond my reach
I reckon you are not
Liberate me from the derelictions of these dissensions

I saw you in my dreams, you were apathetic
You crept behind my veils, spineless
But In a race against strong forms, you won

You are a lover I met and unmet
A play boy tormenting the terrain of my imagination
A womanizer in the closet
Maybe devoted in the real

A liberal man in a crowded room
A tightwad in private
Who will save me from this mirage?

Maybe you are fake
Maybe you are real
But I am here, in case you like slim girls with a propensity to be fat.
