You were great. You had dreams and goals, everything

you touched turned into success. Your family was proud

I was proud. You were loud and beautiful.

What happened? Who changed you?

 

Your life is miserable. Everything you touch is

pitiful. Why are you so worthless?!

Nobody has time for you now. WOW?

You amaze me, suddenly, you've

become so lazy.

 

I used to laugh with you daily

Now we are trapped in oneself but

we are splitting in two sides. There’s

complete silence.

 

You've become so violent.

I loathe you now. I wish I could say

goodbye but we are bind forever.

I am you. And you are me.

This is so honest & gritty, I love this poem much more than a pure expression of beautifully manifested love! This is how people REALLY think & feel. Yes, we should be able to stand by someone we love, when they stumble & fall, when they get stuck in a bad place. But the truth is, most people abandon those who are struggling. It's a harsh reality & you've painted it with so much ZING, it's very impactful. It's not easy to show our ugly way of thinking toward a loved one as you've done here (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

i have been in this place...we are bad company for ourselves...and we hate what and whom we see when we look into the mirror...and all of our bad sides reflect from that glass.
lots of angst in this...it works well to get that across.

Reads like a self analysis as the protagonist reflects on the path he has taken and although regrets mistakes feel powerless to end the sorrow. I think the final line might be 'goodbye but we are bound forever.
