Wishes for a young lady who just turned 21

How time has fled, not so long ago your parents enjoyed seeing you peacefully asleep in their arms,so tiny. Now they looking at you taking off those sneakers and slipping in those heels.
What a moment of pride!
They can't help but beam with smiles as they see their flower blossom.
See those candles burn for they mark the end of your dependence.
I can see from your eyes how terrified you are,
But Don't worry, you 'll be fine.😊
See this day is the only day allowed for you to bask in the afterglow of your childhood.
Tomorrow is a new day in a new year, remember.
I'd be lying if I told you the road branching to freedom and responsibility is tarred.
But hey,I'd be lying again if I said you can't drive through.
Young lady, see all those dreams you brood in that sober heart are the dreams I want to see flourish through your sober mind, with absolute confidence, and truth.
Again I'll say, don't worry about the false wrinkles u'll see through the mirror as the seasons of adulthood take their course. Fine wine improves with age that one i know.
21, oh yes I bind you and psalms 91 into one . can I get an Amen.
Happy 21st birthday
It's a new day!🍷

This is a heartfelt way to wish someone happy birthday! I love how the narrator puts himself into the shoes of her parents, imagining how proud they must be. This gives us an idea the narrator might be closer to the parents' age, like an older relative. The best line is the one about wrinkles . . . and then onto the fine-wine line . . . that's a creative way to use metaphor in your writing (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I'd say "amen" here. An exceptional poem rich with sincerity and wisdom. This could be a gift card for a 21st birthday. I think you've captured what many parents see and would say, and what we felt like at 21, a mix of fear and freedom. I'd pop a cork on a fine bottle of wine and toast to this fine poem.

R.E. Ray thank you very much and we would joyfully drink to that fine wine
I think the story weaved into this is such a beautiful depiction of life. Calling in the end of an age and opening the door to a new one: one full of changes, excitement, and maturity.
After reading your bio about writing about emotions as they come, I really resonated with that. That happens to me a lot of the time I write- just as a way to express this jumble of emotions. I understand what you feel when you turn your feelings into linguistic tapestries that paint a story of the mind. Very nice.
