Feeling Exhausted

Feeling Exhausted

A Poem by Md. Ziaul Haque

Feeling so exhausted,

As the hours were burdensome,

Squeezing all my dynamism,

Good heavens! My thoughts are not sad.

This is how as Robert Frost said “life goes on”,

No matter how far the universe stretches its hands,

Time cannot be stopped by the sands,

Unless the One in proper moment makes Himself known.

But one thing is certain- tiredness like liveliness is natural,

Must we deal with it by stopping every yell.

We all need to stop and rest and to be renewed by stopping. My poem "The Gift of Sabbath" address that need to stop. In stopping we find inspiration, ourselves, and the Divine.
