Wall: Finishes a Road or Begins a New One?

Wall: Finishes a Road or Begins a New One?

A Poem by Md. Ziaul Haque

Wall is a barrier for sure to most,

A fence to some, maker of good neighbours!

Reminding us of “Mending Wall”,

And the meaningless walls, so hated by Robert Frost.

To me a glass is always half filled with water,

And wall is no exception,

I don’t think a wall marks the end of a road,

Can’t you see its ‘carpet-scattering’ on a new lane to walk over?

Yes my friend, even the wall of human hearts,

Can’t help making room for thousands of novel paths.
