Don’t Skyjack My Faith

Don’t Skyjack My Faith

A Poem by Md. Ziaul Haque

Stop trying to skyjack my faith, will you?

Mine it is and I am not going to,

Unleash it even if the sky falls down,

And the stars forgetting their duty begin to frown.

Have I ever tried to snatch yours?

You cannot but agree with me, of course,

My faith can never be fractured,

Let alone its being broken, indeed.

Dante’s words are like oysters protecting pearls from dirt,

“Our fate cannot be taken from us; it is a gift”.

Much evil has been wrought in the so-called name of 'faith.' The true believer, whatever their belief and whatever deity they worship, knows that the only true path is one of kindness and tolerance to all of mankind.

Beccy.
